Narrow aisle forklifts
Narrow aisle forklifts are usually used within warehousing operations. These forklifts are vital tools within the business because their small size and extreme maneuverability enable warehouses to make the most of storing space. They could easily go around aisles which are 1.8 meters wide, while standard lift trucks need at least 3.4 meters of aisle width.
The two kinds are "narrow aisle forklift" and the "very narrow aisle forklift". The former require 2.4 meters - 3 meters in aisle width, whilst the latter could function in a 1.8 meters wide space.
The narrow aisle forklift design features forks which are positioned at right angles to the truck body. The trucks do not have to face the shelves, but instead drive straight down the aisle picking up loads to the side. This particular design feature is the key to their suitability for tight spaces.
To make certain that the forklift is moving in a straight line down the aisle, some very narrow aisle forklifts include wire or optical systems. That way, the operator can concentrate more on the picking and the placement of loads.
The cushion tires which come with these kinds of lifts are made of solid rubber. The hard tires perform well on concrete floors and smooth, paved surfaces. Narrow aisle forklifts have electric motors which is best used within indoor places. Propane-powered models are available also.
